Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our Group WHS team on a permanent, full‑time 8/6   roster.

 This position will be based at the corporate office and will involve travel to all our sites. The average swing may look like 2 days in the office and 6 days on site.

 This role suits a proactive, hands‑on safety professional with similar industry experience, offering long‑term stability and a rewarding career opportunity.

 

 

Here is what awaits you. 

  • Partnering with WHS teams and operational leaders to drive safety outcomes
  • Supporting and continuously improving the Mine Health and Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Assisting sites implement critical risk management and contextualise group level critical controls for their operation
  • Assisting with our document harmonisation project which will involve reviewing, updating and amalgamating procedures based on risk assessments. Priority will be on critical risk documents.
  • Conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments
  • Assisting with serious incident investigations and monitoring corrective actions
  • Promoting a healthy and strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset

 

To thrive in this role you will need.

Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, coupled with a strong knowledge of  risk management processes and experience supporting the implementation of critical risk management. Experience with reviewing and updating procedures based on risk is required.

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety (or related discipline), accompanied by Lead Auditor qualification (desirable not mandatory) and a current WA C Class Drivers’ Licence.
