Northern Star currently has an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Advisor – Compliance, based in our corporate office in Subiaco. Reporting to the Principal Environment Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting environmental compliance, environmental data management, and technical excellence across Northern Star Resources’ Australian assets. It is a diverse supportive role within the business and will require flexibility, including occasional site travel. 

 

Here is what awaits you.

  • Oversee site’s environmental compliance management and provide guidance and direction as required to minimise the risk of non-compliances.
  • Review and occasionally prepare site’s compliance reports, responses to regulators, incident reports and non-compliance reports, to ensure a consistent and high standard is maintained.
  • Comply with and assist in the implementation of the company’s environmental management system.
  • Work with sites to ensure data required by environmental licences and compliance reporting is captured and recorded as per conditions and timeframes.
  • Assist in driving environmental compliance across the business, including organising and conducting internal audits on site.
  • Maintain and report on environmental information including performance data, registers and associated documentation.
  • Management of Environmental contractors and consultants when required.

 

 

 

To thrive in this role, you will need.

Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role, including mining industry experience, with a strong understanding of WA and federal environmental regulations and environmental impacts associated with a mining and processing operation.

Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor of Science in an environmental discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, with environmental auditing qualifications and a St John Senior First Aid Certificate highly desirable.
