We have a Senior Environmental Advisor opportunity awaiting you at our Hemi Development Project in the Pilbara. Reporting directly to the Environmental Superintendent, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring environmental compliance and risk management across the site. Promising a rewarding and stable future, you will join a respected team on a family-friendly 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.

 

Key responsibilities in this position include:

  • Ensure compliance with approvals, company policies and environmental legislation.
  • Implement and update the Northern Star Environmental Management System (EMS) for new projects.
  • Manage key site environmental risks, including land disturbance and water management.
  • Analyse environmental data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and oversee corrective actions.
  • Prepare environmental approval documents and statutory reports.
  • Support incident investigations and management.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors and provide environmental advice.
  • Deliver environmental training, presentations and workshops.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Superintendent.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience: The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of relevant mining or construction experience, strong field expertise, solid knowledge of environmental legislation, and proven proficiency in GIS, INX, monitoring databases, Microsoft Office, and clear communication skills.

 

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a degree qualification in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline. A current National Police clearance is also required for this role.
