Northern Star Resources currently has a great opportunity for an extensively experienced Corporate Accountant to join the team at our Subiaco Office, on a permanent & full-time basis and in a senior capacity.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this key role is responsible for analysing, processing & reporting financial data, as well as providing comprehensive expertise across the Corporate Accounting function.

Here is what awaits you.

  • Perform month end procedures including:
    • Review applicable monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support.
    • Review of monthly board reporting.
    • Other month end preparation and review as required.
  • Prepare and review external reporting and associated workstreams, including:
    • Quarterly, half-yearly & annual reporting
    • Associated board papers
    • Manage liaison with the auditors.
  • Proactive involvement in financial process improvements, including preparation of accounting policies, standardisation of procedures and implementation of supporting technologies
  • Review of Corporate budgets and forecasts
  • Other ad hoc tasks as they arise to support the Financial Controller and wider Finance Department.
  • Management of direct reports including continuing their professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent, along with CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in a similar role, ideally within the Mining or Resources Industry, or Professional Accounting Practice with clients in the Mining or Resources Industry
  • Possess a strong level of computer literacy across the MS Office Suite, with experience using Pronto highly regarded.
