We're seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for a 12-month fixed term at our Subiaco office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll help ensure financial excellence across the business.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Oversee and manage financial reporting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation and review of external reporting (Quarterly, Half Yearly, Annual, board papers) and manage liaison with auditors.
  • Perform month-end procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation reviews across the operations including sites and corporate. Ensure simplification and standardisation of practice across the business.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers.
  • Drive financial process improvements and standardisation.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experienced in ASX listed gold mining sector.
  • Experience in financial systems such as Pronto, FloQast and Workiva advantageous
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance, including preparation and review of external reports (Quarterly, Half-Yearly, Annual, board papers).
  • Possesses technical knowledge of Mining, with the ability to analyse complex areas and suggest improvements.  

 

Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA qualification, ideally from a Big 4 or Big 6 background.
