We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our high-performing Corporate Finance team, based at our Subiaco office. This role promises a rewarding and long-term career path within a dynamic and supportive environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll work a Monday-to-Friday (5/2) roster and play a key role in driving financial excellence across the business.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Oversee and manage financial reporting and compliance.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review external reporting (Quarterly, Half Yearly, Annual, board papers) and manage liaison with auditors.
- Perform month-end procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations, board reporting, share-based payments, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and corporate budgets/forecasts.
- Drive financial process improvements and standardisation.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience:
- Proven experience in operational accounting within the mining sector.
- Strong background in corporate accounting and financial management, including mentoring junior staff, enforcing policy compliance, and collaborating across functions to ensure data accuracy.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance, including preparation and review of external reports (Quarterly, Half-Yearly, Annual, board papers).
- Skilled in managing auditor relationships and executing month-end processes such as reconciliations, board reporting, share-based payments, and cash flow statements.
Qualifications:
- CPA or CA qualification.
