The Environmental Department at NSR currently has a newly created opportunity for a highly experienced Regional Superintendent to join the team on a permanent and full-time basis. Working at our Subiaco based Corporate Office, this role will also involve significant time spent on site.
Reporting to the General Manager - Environment, this role will provide operational support across our Jundee, Thunderbox and Carosue Dam Operations. Requiring ongoing collaboration with the business, this hands-on role is key in coordinating the environmental and compliance performance across the sites’ Operations.
Here is what awaits you.
- Manage and mentor site Superintendents to drive best practise environmental management.
- Ensuring environmental obligations and risks are identified and effectively managed.
- Work with site Superintendents to ensure the site is compliant with all applicable environmental and heritage legislation, as well as all related approvals, permits and licences.
- Participating in site strategic planning, identifying objectives and targets, as well as tracking and communicating performance against these.
- Assist site Superintendents with regards to developing and delivering operational environmental budgets.
- Provide support for the planning and execution of Progressive Rehabilitation.
- Develop well-defined accountabilities and set critical tasks for all direct reports.
- Provide regular update reports to the General Manager – Environment.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Well-established experience in a similar role or as a site superintendent, accompanied by a relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- Proven track record with WA environmental compliance processes and statutory reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental legislation related to the mining industry.
- Tech savvy, with a high level of computer literacy.
- Hold a current Australian C class drivers’ licence.
