Northern Star Resources currently has a unique contract opportunity for an experienced IT Application & Workflow Analyst to join the team at our Subiaco Office, on an initial 12-month-contract basis.

Reporting to the Lead – Data & Analytics, this role will engage with stakeholders throughout Northern Star to transform business requirements into agile, supportable business solutions that reduce costs, increase operational efficiencies, and maximize the value of IT systems. You will also consult with business leaders and users to identify problems that can be optimized with improved processes and application of technology solutions.

  • Ensure maximum availability, performance, and reliability of IT solutions for document management, electronic forms, workflow automation, and reporting systems.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT process improvement solutions based on Company standards and IT cyber security best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Information Technology Policy.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions for document management, electronic forms, and reporting.
  • Maximize the value realized from IT systems and recommend systems that can help to add business value.
  • Advise Northern Star staff and contractors on IT security best practices and ensure compliance with the Information Technology Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the IT Service Desk data analytics & office 365 work queues and engage with users and stakeholders to provide expert advice and support in a timely manner and escalate incidents to IT management when required.
  • Ensure all passwords used for applications, systems, and network devices are secure and are only shared using the IT password management system, and new passwords for users are shared securely
  • Collaborate with other areas of the IT team, including service delivery, systems and network infrastructure, data, and business systems, to ensure alignment of technologies and operational requirements.
  • Assist the broader IT team with general support where needed and undertake additional duties as required.

To thrive in this role.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience (Five plus years) in a similar role identifying business requirements, designing workflows, implementing workflow automation solutions, executing test plans and supporting IT solutions.
  • Some experience within the mining industry (or similar) with complex system requirements and remote sites would be highly desirable.
  • Expert at implementing and supporting solutions in SharePoint, SharePoint Online, and Nintex, with strong product knowledge across the Office 365 suite.
  • Project management experience would be useful.
  • Experience implementing and supporting electronic forms and workflow solutions, such as SharePoint, Flow, Nintex, or Service Now, for both desk-based and mobile workers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate would be highly regarded.

Qualifications:

  • Degree majoring in computer science or software engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant Microsoft or Nintex certification(s) and experience.
