Adding to the ongoing success of our Technical Services portfolio across the group, our Jundee and Thunderbox operations are both seeking for a Geotechnical Engineer. This role offers a long-term and fulfilling future within our well resourced site based department, working on 8:6 roster. Be a part of our journey towards sustained excellence.

 

What you can look forward to:

  • Conduct thorough underground and surface inspections to address geotechnical hazard reports and requests.
  • Maintain and enhance geotechnical hazard reporting systems and ensure high-quality data management.
  • Collect and analyse data from instrumentation, monitoring systems, and inspection records to support operational safety.
  • Offer expert geotechnical advice to ensure compliance with all company and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute geotechnical expertise to the mine design and scheduling process, including designing and monitoring ground support systems.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

 

Expertise and Accomplishments:

Qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with practical expertise in rock mechanics, tunnelling or mining engineering. Desirable skills include proficient with seismic monitoring systems, numerical modelling (Map3D & Phase2) and geotechnical software (Rocscience RS2/RS3, Dips, Unwedge).
