About our role

Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for experienced Fixed Plant Fitters to carry out maintenance & repairs of all fixed plant equipment within the processing plant across our three major operational sites, Carosue Dam, Jundee & Thunderbox, located in the Goldfields.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Perform servicing and preventative maintenance on plant
• Assessing the assigned job and obtaining tools and equipment to complete the assigned work
• Service breakdowns including pumps and conveyors Processing and crusher part replacements and repairs
• Ensure quality of information in CMMS (Pronto) database by providing accurate history, job time, hours worked and feedback to Supervisors.
• Operate in accordance with and comply the Company's Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Operate in accordance with the Company's Environment Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Participate in an call out roster as required
• General housekeeping of work area and plant in general

Required skills and experience:

• Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting and Machining.
• Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience on fixed plant equipment.
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
• Carry out routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant including preventative measures and condition reporting.
• Crusher and Mill experience.
• Centrifugal pump rebuild experience.
• Hydraulic fault finding and diagnostics favourable.
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
• Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Pronto, etc
