Northern Star Resources currently has a unique opportunity for an experienced Finance Reporting & Data Analyst to join the team at our Subiaco Office, on a permanent & full-time basis.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Systems & Planning Analyst, this role will involve the development and maintenance of group reporting systems, including Power BI and other reporting and planning systems.
Here is what awaits you.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for the business and operations, including maintenance of financial data model.
- Work closely with finance and operational teams to identify reporting needs and alignment across the group.
- Assisting with providing in-depth analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance using Power BI and other tools.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data and reporting models across the group finance systems.
- Working with other finance staff to ensure consistency and alignment between the finance systems of Pronto, Power BI, Workiva and Anaplan.
- Stay updated with best practices in Power BI, data analytics, and financial reporting.
- Other ad-hoc finance systems improvement projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree qualified in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or Data Science
- CA/CPA or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience in Power BI development including data modelling and report visualisation.
- Experience in working with large datasets and integrating multiple financial systems.
- Comfortable working with DAX, SQL and Power Query.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, reporting and budgeting.
- Good understanding of underlying data structures of Pronto and other finance systems.
- Experience in engaging with end-users, providing training, and ensuring BI adoption.
- Understanding of mining processes and cost drivers.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
