Kickstart your mining career with Northern Star Resources. Join one of Northern Star's renowned open-pit gold mining operations and build valuable experience while training to become a skilled Dump Truck Operator.

Roster: 15 days on, 13 days off

 Location: Multiple site options available

Opportunity: Entry level opportunity, full training provided

Here’s what awaits you:

• Safely operating mobile dump trucks to transport ore and waste, supporting daily production targets
• Performing pre-starts and ensuring safe operation of equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Identifying and reporting hazards on site and at camp to maintain a safe working environment
• Minimising waste and using resources efficiently to help reduce operational costs

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Qualifications: 

• Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Forklift (LF) ticket
• St John’s Senior First Aid is highly desirable
• 4WD operation and recovery skills

Desired Experience & Skills: 

No previous experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. However, candidates who demonstrate a basic understanding of the mining industry, previous FIFO exposure, the ability to manage 12-hour shifts in a repetitive work environment will be viewed favourably.
