Gain valuable experience and skills at one of Northern Stars renowned open pit gold mine operations whilst being trained up to be a successful Dump Truck Operator.
This role is an entry-level mining opportunity with career development and progression. It will be on 15 days on, 13 days off roster with multiple positions available across our Bronzewing, Carosue Dam and Thunderbox Operations.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Safely operating a variety of mobile dump trucks to transport ore and waste to designated areas to achieve production targets in the mine,
- Conducting pre-start in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring safe operation of mobile plant equipment,
- Reporting hazards when encountering them on site and at camp, to ensure a safe work environment,
- Following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe operation of mobile plant equipment,
- Working towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided; however, a general understanding of the mining industry, experience with FIFO, the ability to work 12-hour shifts with a repetitive workload, and the capacity to travel by plane to remote sites will be viewed favourably.
Qualifications: Unencumbered C class WA drivers licence.
Passion for Growth: Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must, as is a willingness to learn!
