Northern Star Resources is seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated, trade-focused individuals to join our Maintenance Teams as Apprentices in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop industry-leading skills, and build a strong foundation for a career in mining. Available locations include fly-in, fly-out out of Perth and residential roles in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

 

Shortlisting will commence in early August, with successful applicants beginning their apprenticeship in January 2026.

Fixed Plant Electricians
Fixed Plant Mechanics
Light Vehicle Mechanics
Boilermakers
Auto Electricians
Mobile Plant / Heavy Diesel Mechanics
Refrigeration Mechanics


To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience: No prior experience is required as full training will be provided; however, candidates with demonstrated teamwork skills, is self-motivated with a safety first mindset and a willingness to work various shifts & rosters,will be viewed favourably.

 

Qualifications: Unencumbered C class WA drivers licence, a minimum year 12 completion (or equivalent) and a pre-apprenitceship in your preferred trade (desirable)

 

Passion for Growth: Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must, as is a willingness to learn and a commitment to complete a 4-year apprenticeship!
