Northern Star Resources currently has a rare opportunity for a Communications Officer to join the team at our Subiaco Corporate Office, on a permanent & full-time basis.
Reporting to the Communications & Brand Advisor, this key role is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of Northern Star’s internal and external communications. You will support brand alignment across all communication channels, manage communication systems and administrative processes, and provide creative and operational support to campaigns and Company initiatives.

Communications Systems and Administration
- Manage Company communications systems, including user access and ongoing user support.
- Oversee the Communications Mailbox, including monitoring, responding to, redirecting emails and coordinating Communications Team meetings.
- Maintain and organise Communications Team folders and filing systems to ensure accessibility and version control.
- Manage the Company’s Media Library, including supporting the coordination of new media, supporting internal media requests, maintaining appropriate approvals and removing content as and when required.
- Update and maintain website content as required.
- Prepare regular reports on communication campaign performance, data insights and engagement metrics.
Communication and Campaign Support
- Contribute ideas to the development of internal and external communication campaigns.
- Support the production and delivery of campaigns, including content creation, distribution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in developing graphic assets and written content for various channels.
- Manage the Northern Star quarterly internal communications, including coordinating the production and creation of the quarterly results video, any supporting media, and internal distribution.
- Support the development and delivery of Company community investment partnerships and achievements communications, both internally and externally.
- Support the implementation, governance and reporting of corporate community investment, donations, sponsorships and partnerships.
- Support the development of the Northern Star Annual Reporting Suite.
- Ensure all communications align with Northern Star’s brand and tone of voice.
- Proofread and review communications for accuracy, consistency, and timing prior to release.
- Support the delivery of the Company’s Internal Communications Strategy and Social Media Strategy.
- Monitor media, industry and social media coverage and trends and provide insights to inform communication planning.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A qualification or practical experience in communications, marketing, digital media, public relations or a related field.
- A portfolio of previous work you have produced.
- Experience in a similar sized organisation within the resources sector will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, along with significant experience using Canva for content creation is essential.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop) and website content management systems such as Umbraco (preferred).
