We have a rare opportunity for an Assistant Company Secretary to join our team in the Corporate Office in Subiaco, either on a permanent full-time or part-time basis (minimum 4 days per week).Reporting initially to the Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary, this role is responsible for supporting the Company Secretary in ensuring that Northern Star practices all aspects of good corporate governance and statutory compliance especially under the ASX Listing Rules, the Corporations Act and the ASX Corporate Governance Council’s Principles and Recommendations.
This role requires a high calibre professional with recent previous company secretarial experience working for an ASX listed organisation, who will be able to demonstrate their ability and preparedness to step up to the Company Secretary role after 12 months. Ideally, you would have worked within the resources sector and can demonstrate a solid technical ability in the company secretarial function in addition to working as a trusted adviser to the Board of Directors. Your practical experience is accompanied by a relevant degree and post graduate governance education or other relevant professional experience.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build strong, effective trust-based working relationships with the Board of Directors, the Executive team and external stakeholders including regulators, investors and the share registry. Your high level of attention to detail assists you in driving the preparation of annual and periodic ASX disclosures, ASIC reporting and maintaining statutory registers.
