Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for an Administrator: Health & Safety - Technology & Data, to join our Subiaco Corporate Office, on an initial 18-month-contract.
This parental leave cover, support-based role will assist with the administration and maintenance of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) systems, databases, and documentation, including the troubleshooting of problems on-site, systems improvement & development, reporting and management of safety system applications.
Here is what awaits you:
- Collate and enter data into the relevant Company databases and systems.
- Provide continuous support to the WHS Team in all administrative matters.
- Assist the WHS Team to prepare and provide information to all employees and contractors regarding health, safety and training matters.
- Advise the Coordinator - Health and Safety Technology & Data on system improvement opportunities.
- Compile Company WHS weekly and monthly reports, as well as Company statistical reports.
- Facilitate delivery of results on quoted targets.
- Raise and receipt purchase orders for business unit.
- Apply and promote problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to practice and role model an effective set of core values, in alignment with the Company.
- Security and Data Integrity – Support and maintain existing security measures to protect health and safety data, ensuring system reliability and data confidentiality.
- Training and Development – Support face to face and on-site health and safety systems management training, including site visits for hands-on sessions. Provide mentorship to new employees in health and safety practices and assist in the ongoing development and daily management of the safety applications.
- Documentation and Platform Management: Ensure all health and safety documentation is processed correctly through the control system and maintain up-to-date company documents on relevant platforms.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
With some experience (2+ years) in a similar admin support role, you are customer service focused, possess great people skills, and an excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a similar support role, ideally within the resources industry would be highly advantageous, as would a qualification in Business Administration or similar.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a corporate environment, preferably with exposure to the mining or resources industry.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor employees in data management systems.
- Strong computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as relevant experience using health & safety management systems and databases, along with exposure to Quartex modules and applications.
- You have had exposure to or are aware of the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
