We are seeking a skilled Hydrogeologist to join our team at the Hemi Development Project in the Pilbara. This is a rewarding role offering long-term career prospects and the chance to support Northern Star’s hydrogeology and water management team across six operational hubs, including Goldfields, Yandal, Pilbara, and Pogo (Alaska). Here's what awaits you:

  • Conduct groundwater investigations, including drilling supervision, bore construction, aquifer testing, and sampling.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret hydrogeological and hydrological data, monitoring groundwater and surface water interactions.
  • Lead field programs, ensuring safety, data integrity, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models to support planning and regulatory submissions.
  • Assist with environmental approvals, permitting, and compliance requirements, maintaining accurate data records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants on groundwater project design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

 

Experience: Extensive hands-on expertise in groundwater exploration and hydrogeological studies, including resource assessment and water resource development.


Qualifications: Degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or a related discipline, with advanced training in hydrogeology and proficiency in numerical modelling.
