Position: Underground Manager
Work Location: Carosue Dam
Roster: 4 days on 3 days off
What can look forward to:
- Develop and manage the underground mines and associated activities to safely meet the Company’s long-term strategic goals.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date job procedures for tasks performed within the team.
- Manage and own the responsibility for all regulatory reporting, compliance and inspections.
- Ensure system of work are in place to manage the development of mine designs, plans and schedules.
- Analyse and report on mining operational performance to identify any early interventions required to maintain performance.
- Ensure adequate supervision and management of the operational team including external mining contractors and/or Northern Star Mining team.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need
Expertise and accomplishments:
- WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency.
- Practical experience in a senior leadership position on a large scale operation.
- Strong financial acumen and good understanding of contractor management.
- Detailed working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
