About our role

Northern Star has a rewarding opportunity for a Site Services Technician to be a part of a dynamic workplace at our Thunderbox Operations. Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, this position will be on a family friendly 8 days on 6 days off roster, FIFO of Perth & Busselton.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • HDPE pipeline repair and installation.
  • IT, skid steer and excavator operation
  • Fuelling of Bore fields generators.
  • Open pit Dewatering.
  • Maintaining current site Infrastructure
  • Heavy involvement in on/offsite projects.
  • Bore field operating experience.
  • Monitor and maintain water supply to RAW water dams and mining turkey's nest.

 

Required skills and experience may include:

  • HPDE Welding ticket.
  • Experience with operating Cat/Volvo IT loaders.
  • Experience with McElroy and Dixon Welders.
  • Dogman ticket.
  • Working at heights ticket.
  • C class drivers licence.
  • Able to work in remote work areas.
  • Able to service and maintain bore pumps and infrastructure.
