About the role:

Northern Star Resources has an exciting leadership opportunity at our world-class Jundee mine site for an experienced Site Services Leading Hand who is focused and driven, with a preference to work FIFO ex Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The Site Services Leading Hand reports to the Site Services Supervisor, and the primary role is to lead their site services team to provide general maintenance, repairs and dewatering across all surface operations including the village, processing & mining operations and annexures.

 

Here's what awaits you...

  • Lead & direct site services personnel to ensure the effective repair and maintenance of work areas so that business targets and goals are achieved to maximum effect.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives & allocate daily tasks to crew members.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for surface infrastructure including the village, site and other operational areas. Duties may include painting, carpentry, plumbing and mechanical work, where qualified.
  • Installation, repairs and maintenance of various pumps, gen sets and dewatering infrastructure and equipment.

 

To thrive in this role you will need...

Experience: Similar relevant experience in maintenance, trades and/or dewatering in a mining environment, strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead a team to achieve goals.

Qualifications: Australian C Class Driver's Licence, Trade Qualification in relevant discipline (desirable), Poly-welding Certification (desirable), High Risk Licenses – Crane, Forklift, EWP (desirable).
