Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Site Services Technician – Dewatering to join our Carosue Dam Operations. This role is offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis working on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off, Days only roster. Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, you will be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day dewatering activities across the site, ensuring water management systems operate effectively to meet production and safety requirements. This role also includes supporting the broader project with additional general site services work.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Perform in‑pit dewatering, including pump installations, relocations, refuelling, and basic maintenance.
- Join and relocate poly pipe using compression fittings. (no butt welding required)
- Complete routine checks and basic maintenance on RO water filtration plants.
- Monitor, record, and report on flow meters.
- Conduct bulk fuel tank dips with accurate reporting.
- Operate mobile equipment including, IT Loader and Moxy Watercarts.
- Carry out general mine site labouring and site services support duties as required.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Experience: minimum of 2 years experience in a similar site services or dewatering role, with the physical fitness required to safely handle hands‑on, labour‑intensive work.
Qualifications: Valid C Class manual Driver’s Licence, essential for safe LV operation on site and the physical fitness and reliability needed to thrive in a mining environment.
Passion for Growth: Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills, and the flexibility to adopt improved systems with high regard for safety.
