Position: Senior Planning Engineer
Work Location: Carosue Dam
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off
What you can look forward to:
- Direct responsibility for supervision of Mine Planning Engineers and provide them with leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
- Contribute to the underground team to deliver monthly, 3-monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
- Undertake all planning activities incorporating Medium, and Long-term planning requirements.
- Produce and deliver quarterly forecast, H2 reforecast, spatial compliance report (actual vs budget), annual budget preparation, and life of asset plan.
- Undertake underground mine designs, level extraction plan preparation and economic evaluation.
- Ore Reserve preparations in accordance with JORC code definitions.
- Liaising with the Production, Paste Fill, Geotechnical and Geology workgroups to ensure medium and long-term priorities are transferred into short term plans.
- Identify & implement opportunities to optimise mining processes and provide business improvement strategies.

Expertise & Accomplishments:
- Competent user of Deswik packages (Scheduler, CAD, SO)
- Practical experience on large scale underground mining operations, including new projects ramp up and multi-site operations
- Previous experience with financial modelling/costing
- Ability to influence, communicate risks, realistic plans and delivering compelling presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
- WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (desirable)
- WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency (desirable)
