Position: Senior Pastefill Engineer

 

Site: Jundee

 

Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off

 

What you can look forward to:

  • Daily coordination and scheduling of all paste infrastructure works and backfill requirements to meet production and planning targets.
  • Design and establish suitable paste parameters (% binder, slump, tph, etc.) to achieve efficient pouring and required fill strength.
  • Design, update, and maintain pressure flow models to verify operating pressures and ensure safe, reliable operation of the paste reticulation system.
  • Monitor daily performance of paste production and distribution; identify trends or issues that may impact monthly or quarterly schedules, and present options to rectify.
  • Oversee capital paste projects from design through execution, including boreholes, pipelines, and reticulation infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to paste engineers, operators, and contractors to build site capability and ensure best practices are applied.
  • Support the development of paste plant operating budgets and track performance against forecast.
  • Identify and implement innovations in paste technology, materials handling, and reticulation systems to improve safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering paste production, reticulation performance, and key operational metrics.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring

 

Expertise & Accomplishments:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably in Mining.
  • Deep working knowledge of pastefill, infrastructure planning, and contractor management.
  • Paste plant operational experience and QC/sampling and testing understanding.
  • WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable).
