Building on the ongoing success of our business growth strategy and succession plan, our Jundee operations are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer. This role offers a long-term and fulfilling to lead our short and mid-term planning department, featuring the convenience of back-to-back 8:6 roster. What you can look forward to:

  • Undertake all planning activities incorporating short and mid-term planning requirements.
  • Oversee and review all mine designs developed within the Planning Department.
  • Oversee all mine design from initial long-term plans through to final Mine Planning Approvals (MPA).
  • Update all mining costs quarterly, in line with actuals on a 12-month rolling average.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly forecasts and mining schedules.
  • Produce and deliver quarterly mining forecast physicals.
  • Oversee monthly and weekly mining schedules ensuring forecasts are set out to achieve mining budget.
  • Produce and deliver 13-week mill schedules.
  • Capital project execution.
  • Explore alternate mining methods that may have the potential to reduce operating costs.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring

 

Expertise and Accomplishments:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
  • Practical production and planning experience in mechanised hard-rock underground mining, preferably with exposure to highly productive narrow vein mining
  • WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate (desirable)
  • Competent user of Deswik packages (Sched, CAD, SO, MDM)
  • Demonstrated understanding of developing operationally ready mine designs and schedules and managing engineering workflows
