Location: Carosue Dam Operations

 

Roster: 8:6 – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton

 

What you can look forward to:

  • Manage all drill data collection and validity, interpretation updates, QAQC, determining mineralisation controls and modelling the geology to develop mineral resources.
  • High level planning, including drill scheduling, and working with mine planning with development and stope designs.
  • Ensure quarterly and 6 monthly resource versus reserve reconciliation reports are completed.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that all geology & diamond drill personnel adhere to safety standards that exceed industry practice and any applicable legislative provisions.
  • Complete project work and presentations to a professional standard as and when required.
  • Manage and drive continues improvement projects as required by Geology Management.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring

 

Expertise and Accomplishments:

  • A tertiary qualification in Geology.
  • Extensive experience as a geologist in the resource industry, preferably within an underground gold mining operation.
  • Experience with mining and geology software packages such as Datamine and Leapfrog.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sampling, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC), block modelling, advanced grade estimation techniques, and reconciliation.
  • Leadership experience, positively leading a team, and Contractor Management (analytical assay and drilling).
