Northern Star Resources currently has an exciting opportunity for a Scheduling Engineer to join our Jundee Operations team. Offering a long-term and rewarding career path, this role provides the opportunity to work within our high-performing technical services team while enjoying the benefits of an 8:6 roster.

 


Here's what awaits you:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise the Underground Mine 3-Month Schedule (3MS) using Deswik IS.
  • Produce and manage weekly, monthly, and rolling 3-month schedules to support operational execution and business objectives.
  • Liaise closely with Mining, Geology, Geotechnical, Ventilation, Paste Fill, and Production teams
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve compliance and operational outcomes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve scheduling processes, mining productivity, and resource utilisation.

 


To thrive in this role, you will need:

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in underground mine scheduling within a technical services environment.
  • Competency in Deswik IS, with the ability to develop and maintain practical, executable mine schedules.
  • Experience using Deswik Scheduler and other Deswik modules would be highly regarded.
  • Practical experience in large-scale underground mining operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Current Western Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence (Manual).
