About the role:

Northern Star Resources has an exciting & unique opportunity at our world-class Thunderbox mine site for an experienced Projects Co-Ordinator who is focused and driven, with a preference to work FIFO ex Perth on an 8 days on & 6 days off lifestyle & family friendly roster. The Projects Co-Ordinator reports to the Asset Management Superintendent or delegate, and the primary role is to manage capital and operational projects from conception through to execution for the Thunderbox Maintenance departments.

 

Here's what awaits you...

  • Ensure all identified Projects are planned and executed within budget for costs and time
  • Be involved with the oversight of classified plant inspections, and documentation to meet the regulatory requirements
  • Management of project capital request preparation, costs, accruals, schedules, scopes of work, quality, resources, contractor management, project handover & closure
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety by seeking to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment
  • The management of project schedule of works, contractor’s and project completion 
  • The coordination of project budgets and forecasts 
  • Ensuring contractor management systems are in place and meeting compliance with Barrick Safety Policies, Procedures, Standards and statutory requirements 

 

To thrive in this role you will need...

Experience: High level of demonstrated organisational and planning skills, a strong safety focus for team and self, high technical knowledge of fixed plant equipment, 3+ years engineering experience in the mining industry or project involvement, computer literacy - particularly Pronto and MS Office, and​​​​​​awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Qualifications: Australian C Class Driver's Licence, Project Management or Supervisory Accreditation and an Engineering Trade Qualification (highly favourable).
