What you can look forward to:
- Assist in developing and advancing projects that support the LOA strategy, ensuring long-term mine success.
- Plan and execute drill holes to unlock the geological potential across the Thunderbox tenure — both surface and underground.
- Build wireframes of geology and mineralisation to guide resource development and exploration growth.
- Design, schedule, and coordinate drilling programs, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
- Communicate plans and progress clearly with stakeholders across site and corporate teams.
- Supervise drill contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.
- Analyse, interpret, and model geological data to support growth-focused decision-making.
- Mentor and develop geologists, sharing knowledge and passion for discovery.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience & Skills
- Solid grasp of geological processes, rock types, and mineralogy.
- Skilled in data interpretation using ArcPro, Excel, Datamine, Leapfrog, and Acquire.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, growth-focused mindset with enthusiasm for discovery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Geology or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in a mining environment (gold preferred).
- Proven experience managing drill rigs and contractors.
- Exposure to geological modelling and wireframing.
- Current WA “C” Class driver’s licence.
