Northern Star Resources are looking for a dynamic Trainee Process Technician at our Jundee Operation. Join our team on an 8:6  dayshift only roster and FIFO from Perth. 



Here's what awaits you:

 

  • Conduct routine process sampling under supervision (including conveyors, leach tanks, cyclones, and related circuits) to support grade control and metallurgical monitoring                                                                                    
  • Support gold room personnel during elution activities when required, while maintaining strict adherence to security, safety, and procedural controls
  • Assisting in keeping the process plant running safely and efficiently within pre-determined process parameters and within pre-determined control limits
  • Ensuring the effective recovery of gold from ore processed whilst minimising costs (reagents, diesel, etc.)
  • Compiling production data as required
  • Monitoring the process with sampling procedures to ensure targeted metallurgical recoveries are being met
  • Assist with routine tailings management and discharge operations under supervision, including inspections, housekeeping, monitoring discharge lines and deposition areas, and reporting abnormal conditions or non-conforming discharge

 

To thrive in the role, you’ll need:

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence
  • St John’s Senior First Aid is highly desirable

 

Desired Experience & Skills: 

 

  • Ability to work unsupervised once the required level of competency has been attained
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
  • Adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and improve
