About the opportunity:
Northern Star has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand Process Technician at world-class Thunderbox operations. This position will require you lead your crew in the day to day responsibilities of keeping the Process Plant running safely and efficiently, and is offered on a 8-6/7-7 roster - FIFO ex Perth.
Here's what awaits you...
- Ensuring crew members are adequately inducted and trained in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules, critical procedures & responsibilities on site.
- Ensuring the effective recovery of gold from ore processed whilst minimising costs
- Manage the performance of the processing plant, tailings delivery and tailings deposition in accordance with agreed safety, environmental and production KPI’s
- Undertaking hazard analysis, ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported
- Identifying/reporting maintenance requirements for plant and equipment through the undertaking of workplace inspections
- Develop and train crew members in all areas of the plant, striving towards employee level advancement of personnel.
To thrive in this role, you'll need...
Experience: Previous similar experience working in a gold processing plant, high regard towards safety & attention to detail.
Qualifications: Australian C Class Driver’s License & Schedule 26 certification
