Northern Star Resources are looking for a dynamic Pit Technician at our Bronzewing Operations offering a family friendly rotation 15 days on, 13 days off FIFO ex Perth.
Here's what awaits you:
- Support grade control drilling activities ensuring effective mining operations
- Collaborate with geologists and surveyors to complete accurate ore mark-ups.
- Monitor ore mining processes to minimise ore loss and dilution, ensuring high-quality extraction
- Oversee open-pit activities, including dozing, grading, and dewatering, maintaining safety and efficiency
- Assist with blast movement tracking to ensure optimal pit operations
To thrive in the role, you’ll need:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within mining or exploration environment, coupled with demonstrated mechanical knowledge (including 4WD operation), recovery skills and a solid understanding of MS Office suite.
Qualifications: Valid C-class WA driver’s license and a current, approved forklift ticket are a must, Seniors First Aid certificate is desirable. A St John’s Senior First Aid certificate is desirable.
Passion for Growth: Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and adaptability is essential. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates flexibility, and has strong numeracy, attention to detail, and written/verbal skills. You should be able to plan tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
