The Opportunity

We have an enticing Pit Technician position awaiting you at the world class Carosue Dam Operation that boasts a +5-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Geotech team on the convenience of an 15/13 roster with 12HR Days & Nights. 

 

Duties include but not limited to,

  • Assisting with grade control drilling activities.
  • Assisting geologists and surveyors in completing ore mark ups.
  • Monitoring of ore mining to minimise ore loss and dilution.
  • Monitoring of open pit activities, dozing, grading, and dewatering.
  • Assisting with Blast movement tracking activities in the pit.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • 6 - 12 months relevant experience in mining and/or exploration.
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Current approved and recognised forklift ticket.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft office products.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work unsupervised as required.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
  • St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
  • Mechanical knowledge and skills (desirable).
  • 4WD operation and recovery skills (desirable).
