Currently our Jundee Operations has a unique and rewarding opportunity for an Occupational Hygienist to join the team working an 4/3 FIFO roster out of Perth, on a permanent & full-time basis. This role will see the incumbent operating across two operations- Jundee and Thunderbox rotating weeks as required. Alternative roster arrangements may be considered and discussed on application.

Reporting into the to Jundee Operations H&S Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of occupational hygiene are implemented across our operations, implementing and managing the NSR occupational health and hygiene programs with the aim of achieving company standards and regulatory compliance. You  willl work closely with operational teams and be supported by th esenior corporate occupational hygienist to promote best  practices and ensure compliance.

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Develop and maintain health management plans and procedures such as silica, diesel particulate and potable water
  • Performs the functions of the statutory positions of Mine air quality officer (MAQO) and noise officer.
  • Manage and oversee health risk assessment and health management plans including occupational exposure monitoring, potable water sampling and noise surveys.
  • Investigate and analyse health and hygiene incidents, fit testing programs and health monitoring initiatives
  • Manage submissions, analyse data trends and provide reports to management.
  • Support team projects and health/hygiene initiatives.
  • Analyse and report results trends to managers and the corporate team.
  • Conduct task observations and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in toolboxes talks and training
  • Promote and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining high-quality work across all functions.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need...

Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor or equivalent in Occupational Hygiene or a related discipline in engineering or science with a provisional AIOH membership

Experience: With five years of experience as an Occupational Hygienist in mining, resources, manufacturing, or consulting.

Passion for Growth: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance requirements interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, problem solve and work seamlessly alongside others
