Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the team at our Thunderbox and Carosue Dam operations working an 8/6 FIFO roster out of Perth, on a permanent & full-time basis. This key role will work to ensure the health and wellbeing of all site-based personnel, through the delivery of professional and high-quality health and medical services.

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Provide onsite medical care, emergency response, and injury management (including night shift support and pre-employment medicals)
  • Deliver training and coaching to site personnel and Emergency Response Teams
  • Support occupational health programs (fit testing, audiometry, vaccinations, exposure monitoring, silica/heavy metals testing)
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and statutory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote safe work practices and company standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to standardise processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Support audits, reporting, and data analysis to improve health outcomes
  • Use INX systems for accurate data entry and reporting
  • Manage onsite medical facilities, assets, and compliance requirements

 

To thrive in this role, you will need.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent with current unrestricted AHPRA registration, ALS1 and Drug & Alcohol certification, with desirable qualifications in Health & Safety, Training & Assessment, and Emergency Response.

Experience: With 3+ years’ experience in rural or remote healthcare—ideally within mining—you bring strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills, with exposure to workers’ compensation and injury management highly regarded.
