Currently our Jundee Operations has a unique and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the team working an 8/6 FIFO roster out of Perth, on a permanent & full-time basis. This key role will work to ensure the health and wellbeing of all site-based personnel, through the delivery of professional and high-quality health and medical services. The position will also rotate between day shift & night shift on each alternate swing.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Manage & oversee onsite emergencies, routine medical care and support emergency preparedness, including night shift incidents, injury management monitoring, completion of ERT medical components and preplacement medical assessments.
- Deliver medical training and coaching to relevant site personnel.
- Support health and hygiene compliance, including occupational health activities (fit testing, audiometric testing), exposure monitoring, vaccinations, silica & heavy metals testing, and statutory noise & air quality requirements.
- Support improvement projects as well as promote and monitor compliance with safe work practices and company standards across all functions.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on standardising processes, procedures and equipment.
- Manage Emergency Response Team activities and training to maintain readiness and understanding of emergency roles.
- Assist the team in developing and maintaining health and medical audits to analyse, interpret, measure, report, and recommend best practices.
- Use INX systems to input data and generate accurate reporting.
- Manage onsite medical centre facilities, fleet, and assets to ensure timely, professional response and maintain poison permit compliance.
- Promote and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining high-quality work across all functions.
To thrive in this role, you'll need
Qualifications:You hold a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent with current unrestricted AHPRA registration, along with ALS1 Drug & Alcohol testing certification. Ideally the successful candidate will also hold a qualification or certification in Health & Safety, Training & Assessment and Emergency Response.
Experience: With three plus years of experience working in rural or remote medical services, ideally within the Mining industry, you have gained sound clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills. Some experience or exposure to dealing with workers compensation and injury management would also be highly regarded.
