About the role:

Northern Star has an exciting and rewarding leadership opportunity for a Non-Process Infrastructure Superintendent to make an impact and grow our world-class Jundee Operations. This opportunity is offered permanently on a Tuesday to Friday 4 days on 3 days off rotation, FIFO ex Perth. The Non-Process Infrastructure Superintendent reports to the Processing Manager, and the primary role is to lead the safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance and support of Jundee’s non-processing plant assets and services.

 

Here's what awaits you...

  • Lead the non-process infrastructure maintenance function for Jundee Operations.
  • Ensure assigned assets are maintained safely, reliably and in accordance with site standards, statutory requirements and business priorities.
  • Provide leadership for camp, village, facilities, utilities, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, LV, buses and mobile support equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor backlog, defects, work order quality and schedule compliance for assigned areas.
  • Work with Planning and Reliability to improve work identification, scoping, planning, scheduling and close-out.
  • Support asset criticality reviews for assigned services, infrastructure and mobile support assets.
  • Ensure critical spares, consumables and contractor support requirements are identified and visible in the planning process.
  • Manage contractor performance, work quality, safety compliance, cost control and close-out discipline.
  • Support shutdowns, outages and major service works where assigned assets interface with processing plant operations.
  • Identify and escalate risks relating to camp, facilities, utilities, LV, buses, statutory assets and services reliability.
  • Support practical defect elimination for repeat failures and high-impact service issues.

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need...

Experience: Significant maintenance leadership experience in mining, remote operations, heavy industry, site services, facilities, utilities or mobile support assets; experience with Pronto, SAP, AMT or similar CMMS; practical knowledge of preventative maintenance, backlog management, scheduling, contractor management, statutory compliance and work order close-out; Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Building Services, Mobile Plant or relevant Trade Certificate, Engineering Qualification, Asset Management Qualification or equivalent relevant experience; Current “C” Class Australian Drivers Licence.
