Northern Star Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Mining Growth Manager to join the team at Carosue Dam, on an 8:6 or 4:3 roster, FIFO from Perth.

This role will support upcoming and longer-term projects across both open pit and underground operations, to deliver the site’s growth pipeline. Working closely with the Mine Manager, you will play a key role in taking projects from concept through to execution.

This is a great opportunity for a Principal Mining Engineer or Mine Planning Superintendent looking to take the next step in their career and help shape the future of Carosue Dam.

Here is what awaits you

  • Support the planning and delivery of growth projects across Carosue Dam’s open pit and underground operations.
  • Provide input into strategic plans, Life of Mine (LOM) planning, budgets and the longer-term growth pipeline.
  • Optimise people, equipment, contractors and resources to meet operational and growth objectives.
  • Drive improvements in mining systems, processes, productivity and cost performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of mining professionals, fostering a culture of safety first, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key Business Partners and site functions to support successful delivery of growth initiatives.

 

To thrive in this role, you will need

Experience: 
Strong technical and leadership experience in open pit and underground mining, with a proven ability to deliver growth, development and improvement initiatives. Experience in project management, budgeting, capital allocation, cost management, and the Deswik software suite is essential.

 

The successful candidate will be a decisive, commercially minded leader with strong stakeholder management and risk assessment skills. Experience across multiple mining methods and mine start-ups will be highly regarded.


Qualifications
:

  • First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers License.
