Position: Mining Engineer – Ventilations

 

Location: Jundee

 

Roster: 8 days on 6 days off, FIFO ex Perth

 

What you can look forward to:

  • Control and monitor all underground mine ventilation conditions
  • Ensure ventilation standards and regulations are met and maintained
  • Lead the construction, commissioning, and improvement of the mine ventilation system
  • Manage contractors in the execution of the works
  • Optimise the underground ventilation system with a goal of cost-effective best practice
  • Update all mine ventilation and emergency plans with locations of ventilation infrastructure
  • Implement corrective action plans in consultation with Mine Engineers and Operations
  • Explore new technologies to improve the efficiency of the ventilation system
  • Build relationships with underground mining supervisors and crews and provide ventilation education and execution of ventilation works

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

 

Accomplishment & Expertise

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering with 1-2 years practical experience, preferably completion of underground practical time. Desirable skills include competency using Ventsim and Deswik.
