We are recruiting for a Mine Services Technician to join the team at Carosue Dam Operations. This is a site-based position working on 8 days on and 6 days off rotation with options FIFO ex Perth, FIFO ex Busselton OR BIBO ex Kalgoorlie.

 

What you can look forward to:

Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of mine infrastructure, including:

  • Dewatering: Install, inspect, and maintain dewatering lines, pumps, pontoons, and associated infrastructure for both surface and underground.
  • Ventilation: Assist with the installation and servicing of primary ventilation fans and secondary vent structures.
  • Paste Fill: Conduct maintenance on paste fill infrastructure such as the QD2 Dump Valve; assist with paste line inspections and support paste-related field works.
  • Communications Infrastructure: Lay fibre optic cables, install FOBOTs, and assist with Comms Hut installations in collaboration with the Projects team.
  • General Site Services: Support the maintenance of escapeways, signage, substations, and surface infrastructure as directed.
  • Building & Facility Maintenance: Carry out basic repairs and upkeep for site buildings and other infrastructure.
  • Work closely with Supervisors and Engineers to ensure safe and efficient task execution.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

Expertise & Accomplishment 

  • Previous experience in underground mining or heavy industry services is preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of dewatering systems, ventilation fans, and paste fill infrastructure is advantageous. 
  • Strong hands-on experience in general mechanical fitting. 
  • Poly welding experience (preferred). 
  • Ability to operate basic tools, mechanical equipment, and perform manual handling tasks safely.
  • Valid manual driver’s license. 
  • Willingness to work in a remote underground mining environment, including working at heights or confined spaces as required.
  • Dogging and Rigging experience (highly regarded).
