We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Emergency Services & Security Officer to join the site-based Health and Safety team at our Jundee Operations in the Northern Goldfields. This permanent and full-time opportunity will work an ongoing 8 days on & 6 days off roster, flying in /out of Perth.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent, this role is responsible for delivering emergency response and rescue services, coordinating site security operations, and supporting health, safety and risk management initiatives to ensure a safe, secure and compliant workplace.
What you can look forward to:
- Lead site emergency response, preparedness, rescue, medical response and after-hours on-call activities.
- Coordinate and train Emergency Response Team members to maintain site readiness, capability and compliance.
- Ensure emergency vehicles, rescue equipment, medical equipment and facilities remain operational and deployment ready.
- Support risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, inspections, Critical Risk Verifications and safety assurance activities.
- Coordinate site security operations, including access control, patrols, asset protection and security incident management.
- Build strong relationships with WA Police, emergency services, security providers, contractors and key site stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, security and environmental performance while ensuring compliance with company standards and legislative requirements.
Where you’ll add value:
- Experience in a similar Emergency Services & Security Officer role, ideally within the resources sector.
- Experience working FIFO at a remote site location would be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to collaborate, negotiate & influence across all levels of site stakeholders.
- Flexible & adaptable to changing priorities, you are extremely well organised, with strong time management skills & an excellent attention to detail.
- Solutions focused, you possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills & thrive in a dynamic & outcomes focused environment.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue and Certificate IV in Health Care (Paramedical or equivalent).
- Current WA Security Licence, Certificate II in Security Operations, First Aid, CPR and unrestricted WA "C" Class Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in underground/open pit mining and processing environments.
- Strong emergency response, rescue, incident management, auditing and inspection experience.
- Experience delivering training programs, with Certificate IV Training & Assessment highly regarded.
- Additional qualifications such as ALS1, BG4/ProAir Rescue, Aviation, Wildfire, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Drug & Alcohol Testing, HR Licence and INX Systems experience are highly desirable.
