Position: Communications Technician
Work Location: Thunderbox Operations
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off - FIFO ex Perth
Here’s what awaits you:
- Implement minor software/hardware/graphic interface changes as directed in accordance with site operating procedures, tools and methodologies.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of new installations.
- Provide support to continuous improvement projects within the Mining Department.
- Assist in the development of operational and functional procedures related to systems.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Cert III in Electronics and Communications or equivalent.
- Restricted Electrical Licence and Registered Cabler License (endorsed Co-axial, Fibre and structured cabling) will be highly regarded.
- Experience with mining communication hardware and software applications, including but not limited to Motorola VHF Digital Radio Systems, Leaky Feeder, Personnel and Equipment Tracking and Proximity Systems, PLC Programming, SM and MM Fiber Optic Installation, Splicing, Commissioning and Fault Finding, CITECT SCADA Telemetry, Wireless and Fixed Network Infrastructure.
- Component level diagnostics and repair capability.
