Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for a Capital Project Superintendent to join our team at Jundee. Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you will lead capital project delivery from initiation through to handover, providing statutory supervision and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
What you can look forward to:
- Take accountability for the safe and efficient delivery of approved capital projects.
- Contribute to project scoping, scheduling and budget development to support effective planning and execution.
- Coordinate project activities with operations, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
- Monitor project progress, resource requirements, costs and scope variations.
- Fulfil statutory supervisor responsibilities, including S26 requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage contractor performance, site coordination and day-to-day project execution.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues throughout delivery.
- Coordinate commissioning, handover and project close-out activities.

- Demonstrated safety leadership and a strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Experience in a technical leadership role within an operational environment.
- Proven experience delivering mining projects within an operational environment.
- Strong contractor management and project execution capability, with a practical, hands-on approach to project delivery.
- Sound understanding of project scoping, planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to develop practical solutions to project challenges.
- Ability to adapt to changing site priorities and manage competing demands.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operations, contractors and project teams.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline).
- S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Western Australian Construction White Card.
