We have an enticing residential Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Electrical position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor – Fixed Plant Electrical you will be responsible for the following: Execute maintenance work in accordance with the schedule, scope, quality standards, within agreed timeframes to relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Safely maintain and perform breakdown repairs to electrical equipment associated with the sitewide water system, maintenance infrastructure and high voltage network. Ability to interrogate and rectify problems with SCADA control systems, PLCs and remote telemetry systems.
  • Perform statutory testing and completion of relevant mandatory record keeping. Raise work requests and continuous improvement requests ensuring sufficient detail for job scoping to allow for efficient and effective planning of works.
  • Record time confirmations against work orders, enter work history notes and completion or rescheduling of work orders in accordance with onsite work management systems. Ability to work in a team or alone in remote locations off-lease. Escalate any issues to Site Services Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Experience in the mining industry, 3 years minimum. Experience in PLC, remote telemetry and instrumentation. Sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance principals and their application in practice. Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Pronto Xi and other maintenance management systems. Clear communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices

Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualification. Current Unrestricted Electrical Workers License. Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. Prepare To Work Safely in The Construction Industry – CPCWHS1001. HRWL – EWP (Desirable). Work Safely at Heights RIIWHS204(Desirable). Provide CPR HLTAID009(Desirable). Provide First Aid HLTAID011(Desirable).
