Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Electrical

As an Electrician, you will report to the Electrical Supervisor and you will be responsible for efficiently performing preventative electrical maintenance to the Mineral Processing plant, ensuring the plant continues to function at optimum gold production levels.
You will ensure that all work practices, procedures meet company standards and statutory requirements whilst also identifying ongoing continuous improvement opportunities within the workplace.
** This is a residential role based at our KCGM Operations on either a 5/2/4/3 roster (10 hour days), or 7/7 roster (12 hour day and night), depending upon current vacancies. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region. **
Required skills and experience:
- Western Australian A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Minimum of three (3) years electrical maintenance experience
- Previous post-trade experience in a Mining Environment or Processing facility (Advantageous)
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation (Advantageous)
- High Voltage and Switching experience
- Intermediate computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office
- Experience in the generation and recording of Work Orders
- Experience in the generation of Job Hazard Assessments (JHA’s) and safety observations
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
- Must reside in the Goldfields region - KCGM is a residential mine site
- National Police Clearance – valid within the last twelve (12) months
- Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Driver Licence.
