We have an enticing Trades Assistant residential position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster. 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, operate various types of mobile plant including but not limited to Franna crane, forklifts and EWPs
  • Attend the daily Team Pre-Start Meeting. Ensure that you know the tasks and Work Orders you have been allocated, and any associated safety, quality or other risks. Pro-actively rectify and report Hazards in the workplace
  • Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment. Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management
  • Contribute to a team and culture which aligns with the KCGM vision, goals, and the Way We Work. Communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation in a courteous & proactive manner
  • Raise new Continuous Improvement (CI) Work Requests for corrections to the Maintenance Plans and supporting documents. Order parts and materials (add Components) for new Priority 1 and 2 Work Orders as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: 1 year minimum experience in the mining industry. Experience with Microsoft Office – Pronto Xi is highly regarded.

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers License.
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, Gas Test Atmospheres, Provide First Aid, Work Safely at Heights, HRWL – EWP LF RB (desired).
