Currently our Procurement Department has a permanent opportunity for a highly diligent and experienced Sourcing & Contracts Specialist to join our KCGM Operations located in Kalgoorlie, WA. This is a residential position, working a 5/2 (9-hour day) roster.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Procurement, the purpose of this role is to is to provide expertise and strategic focus on the major contracts specific to the KCGM operations, ensuring that procurement activities support the organization's objectives while optimizing costs, quality, and supplier performance. 

Here’s what awaits you:

• Effective management of the Contract Management Plans in conjunction with the appointed Contract Owners
• Assist with the development and implementation of savings plans and drive tangible cost savings and operational benefits through the contract life cycle
• Provide contract advice to relevant end users and stakeholders
• Coach and mentor production and technical teams to continuously improve contractor management and procurement
• Prepare contractual documentation when required
• Lead the end-to-end sourcing to contract process including RFx drafting and issuing, RFx clarifications, commercial evaluation, negotiations, award and contract formation when required
• Working close with the Contracts team based in the Subiaco office in delivering on Category Strategies and contract implementation timelines

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining industry, is essential to the success of this role.
• Demonstrated ability in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for both goods and services contracts.
• Substantial experience in the development, negotiation, and ongoing management of contractual and commercial arrangements with service providers and suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions from data and market intelligence to identify and realise opportunities.
• Possess outstanding commercial acumen, and an excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team, as well as autonomously.
