We have an enticing residential Senior Trainer position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 5/2, 4/3 (10-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

 

  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of Process Technicians Crew trainers to maintain and improve performance and drive a positive workplace culture that reflects the NSR Core Values. Develop and maintain a team and culture which aligns with the NSR vision, goals, and Way of working.
  • Monitor and coach to ensure actual performance aligns with the intention. Review current team’s technical capability. Identify training needs across team and determine plan to improve capability over time.
  • Conduct face to face training delivery. Support development of area competency-based training and assessments. Conduct area competency assessments. Coordinate high risk external courses.
  • Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes.
  • Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years working in mineral processing or related industry with at least two (2) years supervisory or senior technician experience. Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling effective communication at all levels of the organisation. Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills. Sound leadership skills, including the ability to coach, train, and influence the behaviour of others. Ability to work unsupervised. Able to work as part of a team and foster team building relationships (be a good team fit). Work with attention to detail. Ability to train and transfer knowledge in alignment with the department training matrix.

 

Qualifications: Certificate IV and Training and Assessment. Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. High risk work licence EWP, Forklift, Loader, Gantry. Confined Space and working at heights.
