We have an enticing Senior Project Coordinator Engineer position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 5/2, 4/3 (10-hour days) roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Provide project management on key projects through all project phases including feasibility, design, planning, permitting, procurement, execution, commissioning and optimisation. Management of contractors and contractor performance for infrastructure projects.
- Provide engineering advice and support to Management and peers. Perform routine compliance auditing of sites against internal and external engineering standards.
- Assist sites with identification of project resourcing requirements, budgeting and scheduling for the purpose of capital allocations within annual budgets. Review capital expenditure requests for technical and commercial corporate approval.
- Assist sites with regulatory compliance related activities including the licensing and permitting of capital developments. Regularly undertake site visits to liaise with site personnel and assist operations.
- Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes. Active participation in all communication and awareness systems.
- Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment. Minimises waste generation through reduced consumption and increased re-use and recycling.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience in mineral process plant related role. Three to five years in supervisory or management role. Experience in engineering design, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and optimisation. Experience in asset management systems. Experience in developing capital budgets for projects. Experience in plant refurbishment. Experience in plant operation and/or maintenance. Exposure to regulatory compliance related activities including the licensing and permitting of capital developments.
Qualifications: Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Electrical, Chemical Process or Metallurgy from a recognized tertiary institution. Current “C” Class WA Drivers Licence.
