Senior Human Resources Advisor

Northern Star Mining Services is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our team at our Operations Centre in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will lead Employee Relations support across our 8 underground operations in Western Australia.

This role is being offered as residential Kalgoorlie-based with a relocation package available or FIFO ex Perth. It is suited to someone with strong generalist human resources knowledge, with a practical approach to supporting operational managers who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details: 

• Job Title: Senior Human Resources Advisor 

• Location: Kalgoorlie WA - centrally located office

• Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent

• Roster: Residential - 5:2/4:3 10hr or FIFO ex Perth - 4:3 roster 12hr

What you'll be doing

• Leading the ER Team – Lead and coach the Advisory team in managing a portfolio of 1200+ Employees
• Be a trusted advisor to our managers – provide practical advice and coaching on employee relations, performance, conduct and everyday people matters.
• Build manager capability – support and train leaders to have confidence in managing performance
• Turn ideas into action – identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working, and coordinate the implementation of agreed improvements.

Experience & Qualifications: 

• 3–5 years’ Adviser experience, ideally within the resources industry sector.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a practical approach to supporting operational teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, applying sound judgement, and delivering consistent, practical advice.

• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office Suite and HRIS Systems). 

•  Current Australian “C” Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
